And there you have it America , bottom two consisted of Carly Smithson and Syesha Mercado. At that point it was pretty much a given that Syesha was at the end of her rope… and then in a surprising turn of events, Ryan Seacrest announced that Carly had the least amount of votes. Quite the shocking news seeing as how she did so well the night before. Before she left, Simon let her know that she could leave with her head held high. See, sometimes he’s a nice guy after all.
